Case Study: Fergus Drive Boiler Installation

The Problem

We were called out to this property by our customer as their boiler manufacturer’s engineer had been out to carry out a recent service and noted that the gas supply pipework feeding the boiler was undersized (4 metres of 15mm) and also that the heating system water quality was very poor.

After attending, we noticed that the gas inlet working pressure into the property was fine but the gas pressure at the boiler was low, we advised the customer that a gas upgrade was required. We had also recommended that a system flush was advised due to the quality of the water.

The Solution

With the customer’s boiler being around 20 years old and with the necessary repairs needed, the customer opted to replace the boiler. They chose our BAXI Main Eco Compact 30 boiler package with a gas upgrade. This package also includes a system flush to bring the pipework and the installation up to a high standard. The boiler installation package chosen by the customer included a magnetic filter for system protection, a new EPH CP4 wireless programmable thermostat, gas safety cert, CO alarm and registration of the warranty for the boiler.

The customer was delighted with the end result, stating:
